My friend Matthew Fleming, an English Instructor at Cuesta College, was inspired to write a poem as a review. Here's his creative admiration for the pepper jelly called Burnin' Beak.
Ode to My Love, Senorita Beak
The moment our beaks met,
I knew we were in trouble.
It was the kind of trouble that was very delicious
and very, very spicy.
We shared morning toast together.
In the afternoon, we walked the beaches--
you, me, and some homemade pretzels for dipping--
a perfect trinity of taste.
As the sun began to descend into the sea,
we returned to join the panko and the abalone in an evening feast.
Eventually, the translucent flour tortillas
conspired with you and the Nutella
to finish us off.
